Hi there!! I'm Samantha (or just Sam). I am a certified birth doula, placenta specialist, birth and family photographer. My passion for birth support started 10 years ago and is rooted in my very own lived experiences. I have had four boys (13, 10, 8, and 2) with completely different birth experiences for each one -- my first was a cesarean, 2 hospital VBACs, and my last was a homebirth. Those journey's shaped my deep belief in informed choice, autonomy, and meeting families exactly where they are. I know firsthand that birth doesn't have to look one certain way to be powerful, as long as you know your options and feel supported in your decisions <3 We are a Navy family and live in Chesapeake. In my spare time, I like to DIY home projects, thrift or stroll TJmaxx, and read all *romantic* books :P 

As a doula, I aim to provide calm, non judgemental emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My goal is for every family to know their options, feel confident in their decisions, supported through every turn, and empowered in their unique birth experiences -- no matter how it unfolds. As a photographer, I document birth, motherhood, and families documentary style. My approach is quiet, intentional, and story driven. I focus on real connection over perfection and aim to create images that feel true to you -- the raw and beautiful moments that you'll want to remember long after this season has passed.
