CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION
Our classes combine hands on components and a comprehensive curriculum to prepare you for a hospital and/or home birth. We want all families to walk away with lots of tools and knowing which options they have during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
We encourage ALL first-time families or families planning a VBAC to attend a comprehensive childbirth education class.

Classes are taught in the Greenbrier area in Chesapeake
We need a minimum of 3 families signed up for each series or weekend class to take place.
6-week Comprehensive Series
12 Hours
Not just for first time parents but anyone wanting a better birth experience. Hospital, home or birth center birth - we will prepare you for either option.
One evening a week for 6 weeks from 6:30-8:30pm.

Ideal for parents who need childcare for siblings, have unusual work schedules, or fast approaching due dates.
Saturday and Sunday from
9am to 4pm.

Private classes
We work with your schedule especially if you and your partner have long shifts, or don’t feel comfortable in group settings.
2 sessions needed,
2.5 - 3hrs each
All sessions take place in Chesapeake.

Every participant/couple is provided with our very own parent handbook.
In our class, we cover:

Nutrition and Body Balancing/Posture work including helpful exercises from the Body Ready Method and Spinning Babies

Relaxation techniques and comfort measures for pregnancy, birth, and beyond

Hands-on labor tools for partners / support persons

Recognizing the stages of labor and birth, coping techniques and comfort measures

Labor and Pushing Positions

Discussing common medical interventions and procedures, understanding them, benefits and alternatives
