Hey, I’m Lydia! I grew up overseas watching my parents devote their lives to serving others, so now I have a heart to serve as well :) I love serving moms and dads in their birth journey, whether that means as an educator or a birth doula. 

 

I am blessed with two daughters and an amazing husband. It was the birth of my first daughter that changed things for me. I thought I knew what I was facing, and I thought I was educated. I thought I had the support of a provider who wanted the same thing as me, but as soon as I arrived at the hospital, things quickly changed. I was overwhelmed with discouragement, and I didn’t feel like I was given the space to think and make informed decisions. This opened my eyes to the benefits of a doula. Now I seek to be a doula that creates an encouraging and oxytocin-rich space and help you have informed consent. 

 

I truly adore labor and birth. I love the beauty of how our bodies were made and their ability to bring life into the world. Both of my births were at hospitals, so I understand the importance of a doula at the hospital. But I am also a birth assistant for a homebirth midwife, so I love being in the homebirth space as well. So wherever you need me, I will support you
